Privacy and cookies
How we handle your information.

Who we are
The Delight Effect is a trading name of Frog Marketing Ltd, company number 10881849, at Penstraze Business Centre, Truro, Cornwall, TR4 8PN. Frog Marketing Ltd is the data controller. Any questions about your information can go to hello@thedelighteffect.co.uk.
What we collect
If you fill in a form we collect your name, email address, company name if you give one, and whatever you write in the message box. The forms are handled by a service called Web3Forms, which passes what you send straight to our inbox.
If you accept the cookie banner, Google Analytics records how many people visit, roughly where in the world they are, how they found the site and which sections they read. It shows us numbers, not names. If you decline, it does not run.
Our hosting provider keeps server logs, which include IP addresses. That is standard for any website and is used for security and for fixing faults.
How long we keep it
Enquiries stay in our email and are deleted once they are no longer needed. Analytics data is deleted by Google at the end of the retention period set on our Analytics property. Server logs are kept to our host's own schedule.
Why we are allowed to hold it
For enquiries, the legal basis is legitimate interests. You have contacted a business and you expect a reply.
For analytics, the legal basis is your consent. The cookie banner is where we ask for it.
What you can ask for
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, object to how we are using it, or withdraw your consent for analytics by clearing this site's cookies in your browser. Email hello@thedelighteffect.co.uk and there is no charge for any of it.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookies
This site stores one item in your browser to remember whether you accepted or declined analytics. That is what stops the banner asking you again.
If you accept, Google Analytics sets its own cookies so it can tell repeat visits from new ones. If you decline, it sets none.
